Fundata Canada Inc. held its annual awards ceremony on Thursday in Toronto. based in Toronto.
The big winner was Toronto-based Manulife Asset Management Ltd., whose 34 mutual funds and segregated funds were recognized with FundGrade A+ awards.
In total, 60 companies representing 274 Canadian investment funds were honored at the 2018 awards gala.
The A+ award for 2018 was awarded to 168 investment funds, 41 ETF funds, 62 segregated funds and three responsible investment funds.
The FundGrade A+ Award is presented annually to mutual funds and managers that demonstrate consistent, exceptional risk-adjusted performance throughout the year, based on a track record spanning up to 10 years.
Dynamic Funds and Sun Life Assurance Co., both based in Toronto, each received 23 awards for their combination of mutual funds and segmented funds.
CI Investment Inc. based in Toronto, has been recognized with awards for 21 of its investment funds and spin-off funds.
