Equitable Life Insurance Company of Canada made changes to its leadership team on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Donna Carbell has been hired as senior vice president of individual insurance at Equitable Life, and Tara Proper has been promoted to senior vice president of investments. They will replace Karen Mason and Paul English, respectively, who are retiring at the end of 2021.<\/p>\n

Carbell joins Equitable Life after more than 20 years at Manulife, where she held senior positions in various departments of the company. Carbell will now oversee Equitable Life’s product development, distribution, marketing and customer service for individual insurance.<\/p>\n

Proper will lead the Equitable Asset Management group, which manages the company’s entire investment portfolio and separated funds. Proper has been working with Equitable for 24 years.<\/p>\n

Carbell and Proper immediately take their positions.<\/p>\n

In March, Equitable announced that former president and CEO Ronald Beettam was retiring and appointed Fabien Jeudy to replace him.<\/p>\n
